Background

Born in Richmond , Virginia , Sargent McGowan began his investment career in 1996. Prior to joining Invesco in 2002, Mr. McGowan had worked at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc. as an equity research associate. He also worked in the same capacity at PaineWebber, Inc .

Education

Mr. McGowan earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Investment Management from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia . He is a CFA charterholder.
